The proposed structure plan seeks to provide the planning framework to guide the future expansion of the Gateways Shopping Centre, including the expansion of retail and commercial areas, the addition of a town square and the extension of the ‘main street’ component.

    At its meeting on 10 May 2018 (OCM Minutes 10/5/18) Council resolved to recommend approval with modifications to the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC)

    The WAPC approved the structure plan on 31 March 2020. The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage website lists the approved structure plan.
