Consultation has concluded
The City of Cockburn recently asked Aubin Grove residents their views on lighting at Tangle Park. We received feedback from nearly 60 people, most favouring installing lights. We have listened to the community's feedback and have prepared several options, considering the available budget and best position for solar lights. We invite you to share your preferred option.

About the lights
The lights are solar-powered overhead LEDs that are designed to minimise light-spill and dim automatically at night when no motion is detected. The lights produce 180-220 lumens per watt. They will be mounted to 4.5m powder-coated black columns and angled to illuminate the footpath. Due to frequent vandalism, the City is unable to consider solar bollard lights.

Hi,
Thank you for your question.
The City successfully uses these integrated solar lights at parks and reserves throughout our City. Examples include Bishop Park in Spearwood and Voyageurs Park in Hammond Park.
These lights are in a local park managed by the City, not Main Roads road reserve, and have a different standard and purpose to the lighting required by Main Roads WA on Principal Shared Paths.
