Background

The City of Cockburn is seeking community feedback on an amendment to the Barfield Road structure plan. The amendment proposes:

  • A slight increase in the density code of a portion of a residential cell fronting Parco Glade, Irvine Parade and Campana Rise from R30 to R60;
  • To introduce new landholdings into the structure plan at Lots 15, 37, and portion Lot 40;
  • To modify the internal road layout at Lot 18; and
  • To remove the Flame Zone classification from cleared land abutting Public Purpose (High School) reserved land to the north of the structure plan.

    Thank you for your submissions. The public comment period was open from 29 August to 20 September 2019.

    At its meeting on 14 November 2019 (OCM Minutes 14/11/19) Council resolved to recommend approval to the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC).

    WAPC approved the structure plan on 23 April 2020. The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage website lists the approved structure plan.
