Council endorses Strategy

The City presented the Draft Local Planning Strategy to Council at the April 2023 Ordinary Council Meeting. Council considered the draft alongside the public submissions and Officer’s recommendation.

Council decided to endorse the Strategy, subject to 60 modifications. To view the modifications and meeting minutes, please visit the Document Library.

Next steps

The City will present the revised Strategy to the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) for final consideration and final approval. Any further changes to the Strategy are at the discretion of the WAPC, who are the final decision maker. The City will publish the final Local Planning Strategy on the City of Cockburn website when available.
