Workshop Findings

The City engaged Ecoscape to gather community insight on possible youth amenities for Radiata Park. A series of workshops were held between December 2020 and March 2021, involving over 130 young people and Aubin Grove residents. Together participants created a vision for Radiata Park.

Several key themes were identified through the workshop process, including:

• Participants value family-friendly, green open spaces, where all are welcome.
• Young people would like to see skateboarding amenities, pump tracks and multi-courts.
• The design can be multi-purpose, featuring places to skate, scooter, ride bikes, climb, jump and explore.
• The design will be constrained by space and the central drainage area.
• The design should complement existing uses.
