We Asked:

This City produced a draft guide and map about activities along our coast and invited comment by 19 August 2016.

You Said:

Through telephone conversations, response to a mailout, and an online survey, you gave us feedback about where you wanted to swim, water ski, walk your horses and dogs, or learn how to surf. A summary of respondent statistics is uploaded here.

We Did:

As a result, the City has adopted a Coastal Activities Guide to show activities that are permitted to occur along the 15 kilometres of coastline from north of Catherine Point to south of Woodman Point.

    We all love the beach and why not share it with your horse?! They enjoy it just as much!

    I rode the City of Cockburn electric bike to inspect the bike paths between South Beach and Coogee Beach when I first started working at the City of Cockburn as TravelSmart Officer in February. I was amazed at how close our offices are to the beach and how pleasant it was to ride along the coast. I saw so many people riding or walking along the paths.     School holiday time, I went with my daughter and grandchildren, Sasha and Ayda to the Dome at Port Coogee for lunch. Afterwards we went for a walk along the beach and enjoyed the walk and admiring all the sea gulls on the and edge of the water.. It was a cool cloudy day, but never the less it was fun and a great to walk around and enjoy the beach and outdoors. We all ran and walked around, looking at shells and the birds.
