Consultation has concluded

Background

The City of Cockburn received a request from Coogee Community Garden WA to create a community garden at Rotary Park (King Street, Coogee).

The project would be funded, managed and maintained by the Coogee Community Garden WA. It is envisaged the garden would be open for everyone in the community to enjoy together and could have the potential to share the history of the early market gardener families of the area. The ability to grow and collect produce would be open to members of the Coogee Community Garden WA group.

It was proposed the garden would be located on the northern side of King Street (Coogee), opposite the Ellement Parade intersection.

The Group developed a draft concept design to provide an idea of what the garden could look like and how it might be expanded into the future. View the Concept Design.

In 2019, the City invited the community to have their say on the proposal put forward by Coogee Community Garden WA.
