Port Coogee Marina Expansion

Consultation has concluded

Background

The Port Coogee Marina was originally designed so that it could be expanded in the future to meet the demand for more boat bays.

In 2018, with occupancy rates reaching above 90%, the wait list for boat bays growing, and residential developments underway on Maraboo Island, the City commenced the process for expansion. Two preliminary concept designs for the expansion were presented and endorsed to Council at the June 2018 Ordinary Council Meeting.

As part of Local Government Act 1995, a Business Case for the expansion was then developed and a preferred draft design adopted.

The City sought community feedback on the Business Case and draft design over a 42-day advertised public comment period in September and October 2019.
