Background

The City is seeking feedback regarding a scheme amendment proposal for the purpose of amending the annual review clauses related to development contribution plans. The proposal will enable the City to adopt a lesser contribution rate than an independent reviewer may recommend. There is currently no flexibility in the scheme to do this.

    At its meeting on 12 December 2019 (OCM Minutes 12/12/2019) Council resolved to recommend approval to the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC).

    WAPC approved the Scheme Amendment on 10 June 2020 and advertised the Approval in the Government Gazette on 16 June 2020.
